EPRO measurement systems for transformers and special applications

EPRO measurement systems for transformers and special applications such as reactors or chokes represent a revolution in automated transformer testing. As the first complete system fully calibrated by the German PTB, EPRO sets a new benchmark in precision and automation.

The fully modular system architecture consists of the control center, electronic measurement boxes, and inductive reference transformers developed by EPRO for high-precision current and voltage measurement.

Even in its basic version, the EPRO transformer testing system performs the following tests fully automatically:

• No load loss test
• Load loss test
• Induced overvoltage test
• Zero impedance measurement
• Temperature rise test

The system can be expanded at any time to function as a complete transformer test center, including:

• Winding resistance measurement
• Turns ratio test
• Separate source voltage withstand test (Hipot)
• Insulation resistance test
• Sound level measurement

And many more

The exceptional flexibility of this system has proven itself among users with the highest standards, demonstrating that an unprecedented variety of test objects can be handled on a single test bay. As a big variety of different voltage and current transformers can be used in the system. This means the system can be configurated for large and small transformers as well as single phase or three phase transformers.
