Dry insulated standard current transformers

EPRO Gallspach GmbH’s testing technology devices are custom built to meet specific customer requirements.
To give you an overview of the possibilities, below are some examples we have already implemented.

Compared to standard oil insulated current transformers, dry type standard current transformers offer several advantages:

  • Environmental friendliness:
    Dry type transformers do not use oil or other liquid insulating materials that could be harmful to the environment in case of leakage. This significantly reduces the risk of soil and water contamination.                                                                                          
  • Fire safety:
    The absence of oil minimizes fire hazards, increasing safety in indoor environments and facilities.                                                                
  • Installation flexibility:
    Dry type transformers can be installed in various positions without the risk of oil leakage, offering greater flexibility.                                                                                                                                                                         
  • Compact design:
    Dry type transformers are often more compact than their oil insulated counterparts, making them ideal for space constrained installations.                                                                                                                                 
  • Simple installation:
    Installation is generally faster and easier due to their design and lack of fluid handling.
