The INSULATION TEST – Premium is a fully automated, customized system, that covers all your needs. It was specifically designed to meet the requirements of material testing.
Fully automated testing is not only a topic in transformer manufacturing and the transformer industry; insulation materials used in electrical machines also need to be regularly and accurately tested.
The most important tests include measuring Capacitance and Tangens Delta (loss factor), as well as determining breakdown voltage. These tests are mainly conducted for two reasons: on the one hand, they are necessary in research and development to test new materials; on the other hand, regular testing is required during serial production to ensure quality control.
In R&D testing, there is often a desire to test under as many conditions as possible and in different settings. In contrast, production monitoring tests require a consistent baseline to compare results accurately.
The most important test for research and development is usually the Capacitance and Tan Delta measurement, while breakdown voltage testing is typically the most critical for quality control.
