Test Transformer

Test transformers are designed to generate high alternating voltages for testing and measuring purposes. The low voltage winding is usually driven by an infinitely variable control transformer between zero and the highest value so that a specific power output is available over a defined period of time.
The time the transformer is switched on depends on the application and can range from one minute to continuous operation.
Because these components are partial discharge-free, they are especially suitable for measuring partial discharge.

Four casters are essential to facilitate handling of the smaller types in the laboratory, while the larger types (HVOT 150/75 upwards) are available with a transport chassis.
