Resonance choke type SCFI 2
The type SCFI 2 resonance choke is a series/parallel oscillating circuit and is used as a low ohm resistance for serial feed transformer types ET and FET (or similar from other manufacturers) during ripple control operation.
It is possible to operate this unit with transmitter types from other manufacturers.
The dimensions of these components are designed especially for each system based on the client's requirements. Generally, for medium voltage circuits a transmitting level of 2.1% and a nominal power of up to 50MVA are possible. The transmitting frequency is between 166Hz and 210Hz.
Type SCFI 2 consists of the following components:
- Generously proportioned control panel
- Three-phase, dry-insulated choke
- Resonance circuit capacitors
- Compensation capacitors matched to transmitting frequency
- Short-circuit protection to prevent undesirable loss of current in resonance circuit during transmission-free periods
- Over-voltage protection
- Contact supervision
